Surgical forceps wide range of uses
Surgical forceps are mainly used for holding the tissue in place during any surgical procedure or during insertion of another surgical instrument into a cavity. Surgical Forceps are classified into two main types: Pediatric and Adult. Light weight forceps with sensitive touch are used in micro surgery or while performing operations on babies. The obstetrical forceps are specialized surgical equipments used in gynecological operations. For general surgery, the forceps used are referred to as “mouse teeth” which allows the surgeons to hold tissues firmly while performing surgical procedures precisely.
